When I turned 65, I received a bill for long-term care insurance premiums from my municipal government. Aren't long-term care insurance premiums included in the premiums I pay to the Health Insurance Society?
Through age 64 (Category 2 insured person), long-term care insurance premiums are collected by the Health Insurance Society along with health insurance premiums. However, your municipal government will collect these premiums after you reach the age of 65 (Category 1 insured person). For this reason, starting from the age of 65 the Society will collect only health insurance premiums. Except if your dependent is age 40 or more but less than age 65, long-term care insurance premiums should be paid for your dependents payments.
