Some publicly funded health care, local government medical expenses subsidy, and medical care costs that cannot be judged by a Health Insurance Society are not reflected. If the copayment amount stated in the Medical Expenses Notification does not match the medical care costs you have actually paid on your own, you are required to verify the amount in the relevant receipts, etc. for yourself, and claim tax deductions for the actual payment amount on your tax return. For details of procedures, please check the NTA website or contact your local tax office. In this case, however, you are required to retain the corresponding receipts for such medical expenses for five years.
